Who can qualify for assistance?
Own your home in the Historic Triangle (James City County, York County, or the City of Williamsburg. Currently live in the home as their primary residence. Have a total household income at or below 80% of the Area Median Income levels (AMI) as defined by HUD guideline.

How to Apply for Emergency Home Repairs
To apply for Housing Partnerships, Inc.’s Emergency Home and Accessibility Repairs Program, you can complete the download the application.
At this time, you can download the application PDF, complete it by hand, and return it to our office via scanned email, mail, or in person. Please note that we do not accept applications online through this website or any other site. Be sure to include all required documentation, including proof of homeownership and verification of household income, so your application can be reviewed without delay.
Required documents for Waitlist Placement:
To be added to our waitlist, you must submit a completed application along with the following documents.
-Copy of Deed of Trust (if home is fully paid off)
-Copy of current mortgage statement if you are making monthly payments
-If manufacture house/trailer a copy of the title
-Copy of all household income (examples SSI statement/disability statement/bank statement/tax return, etc.)
Applications/documents can be mailed or dropped off to our office which is located at 115 Palace Lane.
Please do not mail original documents. If you need copies/drop off your paperwork please call the office to make an appointment so we can assist you. (757.221.0225)
Your application will not be processed until all required documents are received in our office.
Our volunteers will contact you when they're ready to assess the work needed at your home.
While we can't provide exact timelines for when work will begin or be completed, we typically reach clients within four to six weeks. Please note that handicap ramp projects may take 12-18 weeks due to permitting requirements and the complexity of construction.
We evaluate ramp requests on a case-by-case basis and will work to expedite the process when urgent needs arise.
